The challenge is urgent: the investment choices we make even over the next 2-3 years will start to lock in for decades to come either a climate-smart, inclusive growth pathway, or a high-carbon, inefficient and unsustainable pathway.

Vermont's Business Landscape

Vermont offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to access services, networks and growth capital, in a state known for its high quality of life in an idyllic and recreational setting. The first Accel-VT cohort will be held in Burlington, the state’s largest city, which sports a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem supported by:

  • regular entrepreneurial meetups and events
  • robust technical and professional services
  • like minded companies eager to help and partner
  • multiple higher educational institutions
  • an active lending and investment community
  • growing incubation and co-working infrastructure

I have recommended Vermont to anybody and everybody. When you work in these big complex organizations or big complex cities, it is so much harder to make a difference. In Vermont, if you have a spirit of collaboration or innovation, I feel like there is no end to what you can do.
